Service Month is in April
Each April the Alumni Association celebrates Service Month and asks that every East Carolina alumni lend a helping hand in their communities. Many of the Alumni Association's regional leaders will plan service projects for alumni groups across the Pirate Nation, but individuals are welcome to volunteer wherever help is needed.

There are so many ways to volunteer during Service Month:
  • donate blood
  • volunteer at your local hospital
  • spend time with an elderly neighbor
  • run or walk in a charity race
  • deliver meals to homebound individuals
  • read to a child
  • donate gently used clothing and toys to a second-hand store
  • adopt a family in need
  • send a care package to someone serving in our military
Live the University's motto of Servire, meaning "to serve," and help someone in your community this April! Click here for  more easy service project ideas. Be sure to watch your inbox for information on service projects planned in your area.

If you volunteer on your own or with a group of friends, be sure to take a photo and send it to us! E-mail your Service Month volunteer photo and we'll post it in our online photo gallery.
