The Magnolia Belles The Magnolia Belles are a student-run a cappella group consisting up to 20 talented women from East Carolina University. The group is one of two student organizations sponsored by the East Carolina Alumni Association. Magnolia Belles is a name inspired by the beautiful Magnolia’s trees that adorn our campus and honors the memory of three sisters who came to East Carolina Teachers College from Magnolia, NC in the 1920's. The Magnolia Belles perform for alumni, campus and community events, produce a new album every other year and tour to alumni events nationwide. Their repertoire includes contemporary pop, R&B, country, oldies and, of course, their version of the fight song and alma mater. The group holds membership in the Contemporary A Cappella Society of America.
