Joel Funmilola Banjo-Johnson hails from Winterville, NC by way of London, England. Joel graduates with a double major in broadcast journalism and German. During her time at East Carolina Joel has received recognition as an Emerging Leader of the Year, an Outstanding Student Leader of the Year, a lifetime member of Phi Kappa Phi National Honor Society, an Outstanding German student, and with an American Legion Award for Scholastic Excellence. She also received an Academic Excellence Award and Meritorious Service Award through the Air Force ROTC program.
Joel served in a number of campus organizations, including as president of Legacy Endeavors; chief of staff and special assistant of Student Government Association; eastern regional director of the UNC Association of Student Governments; president of Delta Phi Alpha National German Honor Society; secretary of the African Student Organization; secretary of the National Broadcasting Society; and member of Phi Iota Foreign Language Society. She has also been featured as a soloist in St. Cecilia's Choir.
During her undergraduate years Joel enjoyed volunteering for March of Dimes, Adopt-a-Highway, as a "Big Sister," and as a tutor. In her free time Joel enjoys playing volleyball, singing, instructing fitness classes, and writing children's books.
After graduation Joel plans to attend graduate school at East Carolina.

| ||Diana Andreea Gliga|
Diana Andreea Gliga is from Jacksonville, NC. Diana graduates with a major in biology and minor in Spanish. During her time at East Carolina Diana has received recognition as a two-time recipient of the East Carolina Alumni Association Scholarship, two-time recipient of ECU's Mary Caughey Helms Scholarship, two-time recipient of the President's Volunteer Service Award from ECU's National Society of Collegiate Scholars chapter, and two-time recipient of the Scholar Promise Award, also from ECU's National Society of Collegiate Scholars chapter. She is an EC Scholar and recipient of an East Carolina Academic Merit Scholarship, the Dr. Keith and Susan Holmes Scholarship from the Department of Chemistry, an Academic Leadership Award, and an Undergraduate Research and Creative Activities Grant. Diana was also a Certified Undergraduate Lab instructor for the Department of Biology and member of the EC Scholarship Committee.
Diana participated in a number of campus organizations, including Phi Kappa Phi National Honor Society; Golden Key International Honor Society; the National Society of Collegiate Scholars; the American Medical Student Association; the Pre-Pharmacy Organization; the NC Rural Health Student Coalition; the Badminton Club; Bowling Team; and Textile Guild. She was also an undergraduate teaching and research assistant.
During her undergraduate years Diana enjoyed volunteering for the Tar River Clean-Up, the Primary Care Physician Shadowing Program, St. Jude Children's Hospital "Up 'Til Dawn" event, the Grimesland Clinic, American Red Cross Blood Drives, and as a tutor of anatomy and physiology for ECU's student-atheletes.
After graduation Diana will enroll in UNC-Chapel Hill's Eshelman School of Pharmacy.

| ||Stefanie Marie Wethington|
Stefanie Marie Wethington hails from Greenville, NC by way of Corinth, ME. Stefanie graduates with a double major in communication and English. During her time at East Carolina Stefanie has balanced her life as a full-time student and part-time employee with married life. She received the Golden LEAF Scholarship and interned for the United Way of Pitt County. Stefanie participated in Phi Theta Kappa Honor Society, Golden Key International Honor Society, and Phi Kappa Phi honor Society. Stefanie also participated in a Leadership Reading Circle that focused on leadership in literature.
Prior to becoming an ECU student, Stefanie was a teller, then relationship banker with BB&T. While she served as relationship banker her branch won the Eastern Region Sales Campaign, an accomplishment never before received by the branch.
In her spare time, Stefanie enjoys fishing, yoga, and aerobics.
After graduation Stefanie plans to attend graduate school at East Carolina.
