What is Forever Pirates?Members of Forever Pirates are current, full-time ECU students that are life members of the Alumni Association. These students receive unique member benefits while enrolled at ECU, like networking with alumni, connecting with other ECU students, special events and activities, and other member-only benefits and prizes. This program facilitates interactions between students and alumni and enhances the student experience by providing opportunities that strengthen a lifelong relationship and loyalty to East Carolina. Forever Pirates is an opportunity for current ECU students to support the valuable programs and services provided by the East Carolina Alumni Association and enjoy membership privileges before graduating.
Do I have to graduate first?Not at all! The East Carolina Alumni Association knows that students are the reason it’s great to be an East Carolina Pirate. So why shouldn’t you be able to take advantage of the same great benefits and services offered to alumni?
What are the benefits for joining?The #1 reason for joining is pride---pride in knowing that you will forever be a Pirate and always be connected to ECU. Student Forever Pirates receive up to a $400 discount off of our life membership and no payments are due until after graduation. Members receive discounts at local and nationwide businesses as well as invitations to exclusive Forever Pirates events, privileges, and promotional offers.

How do I join?You can join 1 of 2 ways:
In person: fill out the
membership application and drop it off at the Taylor-Slaughter Alumni Center (
map it). We are located at the corner of Fifth and Biltmore Streets across from Fleming Hall.
How can the Alumni Association help me in the future?
The Alumni Association will keep you connected with the University.
Membership dues support numerous programs and projects, including the
EC Alumni magazine, the online alumni directory community, Alumni Tailgate, reunions, and other events.
