Reunions at East Carolina allow alumni to return to campus, reconnect with friends and classmates, and rekindle memories, friendships, and good feelings about East Carolina. Affinity Reunions are a gathering of a group (or groups) of alumni based on their involvement with a particular group, experience or common connection (i.e. Greek Life, Marching Pirates, clubs, etc.). Class-based Reunions is a gathering of alumni based on their graduation year (i.e. Class of 2000). Traditionally the 50th Golden Alumni Reunion is held in the spring during Commencement weekend.
The East Carolina Alumni Association is happy to work with classes or groups wishing to celebrate reunions. Reunions can be planned throughout the year, according to participant schedules and availability. “The Best Band in Tarheel Land” will hold their annual Homecoming reunion. Band members and their guests will enjoy a weekend full of activities, including golf, fellowship and jam sessions, and playing for fellow alumni at the Homecoming Celebration Dinner and Dance on Saturday night at Cypress Glen Retirement Community.
