Your Participation Makes a Difference!
The East Carolina Alumni Association annually awards scholarships funded by alumni contributions. In the past seven years, 134 student scholarships have been awarded to deserving East Carolina University full-time undergraduate students. In 2012, we will award 21 Alumni Scholarships that are generously funded through the golf tournament, the Pirate’s Bounty Scholarship Auction, the Pirate Alumni Road Race and Fun Run, and alumni contributions. Your participation in our Scholarship Golf Classic ensures that we can continue to grow this program. Whether you bid at our auction, play golf, attend the 19th Hole Reception, or make an individual contribution to our scholarship fund, your participation in this tournament really does make a difference!
Enjoy a day on the links with fellow ECU supporters for a game of golf and plenty of prizes! With trophies awarded to the teams with the lowest gross score and lowest net score, hole-in-one prizes on all par 3 holes, longest drive, and closest-to-the-pin, your swing may land you a bounty. Enjoy the camaraderie on the course and the chance to win some great raffle prizes. Best of all, it’s for a good cause—ECU scholarships!
The winning golf team (lowest gross score) will have the opportunity to represent ECU and play at legendary Pinehurst Resort in the Acura College Alumni Team Championship October 27-30, 2011. The top six teams will win prizes and the winning team will be crowned the National College Alumni Team Champions. Teams of four will compete in a 36-hole competition on Pinehurst 2 and 4. Players’ packages include: resort accommodations for three days and two nights, airport and resort transportation, breakfast each day, a welcome reception, the Acura Champions Banquet, Acura shoot-out, two rounds of championship golf, team gifts with college and university colors, a team photo, and a Nike golf shirt.
