It is my pleasure to welcome you back to campus for the 2010 Alumni Reunion Celebrating Graduates of ECTC and ECC. I hope you’ll be able to join your fellow classmates and the East Carolina Alumni Association during Homecoming 2010: Rock’n in the Purple and Gold. The weekend is full of fun activities, including the Homecoming Luncheon, Classes without Quizzes, tours of campus, the Alumni Awards Ceremony and Dinner, Alumni Breakfast, parade watching, a special reunion photo, Alumni Tailgate, Pirates Football, and of course the traditional Alumni Reunion Dinner Dance featuring The Collegians.
If you have not been back to campus lately, I encourage you to come back to your alma mater and see how she continues to grow. ECU continues to be a beacon in eastern North Carolina for economic growth, medical care, the performing arts, and academic excellence. From modest beginnings as a school for training teachers, ECU has grown to become an emerging national research university with an enrollment of nearly 28,000 students and continues to fulfill its mission of teaching, research, and service.
I hope you’ll make plans to attend the 2010 Alumni Reunion Celebrating Graduates of ECTC and ECC today, and I look forward to seeing you in the fall.

Reunion Confirmation
A confirmation letter will be mailed to you upon receipt of your registration. The reservation deadline is Friday, October 1. Tickets to events will not be mailed.
Cancellations/Refunds
Cancellation and refunds must be submitted in writing (mail, fax, or e-mail) to our office by Friday, October 1. “No shows” will not be refunded.

Football Tickets
Football tickets can be purchased through the Athletic Ticket Office by calling Casey Strader at 800-DIAL-ECU or online at ECUPirates.com. Type in group code “ECUALUMNI” to reserve your ticket in the reunion block. Tickets are $30.00 for adults and $25.00 for children and must be purchased by Friday, October 8. Contact the Ticket Office at the number above for handicap requests.
Hotel Reservations
The suggested hotel for this reunion is the City Hotel & Bistro. Make your reservation by Friday, September 24 by calling 877-271-2616. Mention “ECU Homecoming” to receive the $149.00 per night rate, which includes hot breakfast.
Parking and Shuttle Information
Parking
during Homecoming Weekend Friday activities is located in B1 Zones at
the corner of 10th & Evans Streets and 9th & Evans Streets. Permit requirements are waived for Friday,
October 22. Metered spaces are also available in the parking lot behind
ECU Parking and Transportation in the Mendenhall/Student Recreation
Center lot. ECU Ambassadors will hand out guest passes for these limited
spaces at the lot. A courtesy shuttle will make a continuous loop
between these parking lots and the Joyner Library Clock Tower between
9:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m.
Let the Alumni Association do the
driving for you on Saturday! Shuttle service will be provided
throughout the day to and from the Alumni Center, Alumni Tailgate, and
the football game. Park and ride from the City Hotel and Bistro
beginning at 8:00 a.m. through 8:00 p.m. Shuttle schedules will be
available at check-in.

If you’re already a member of the Alumni Association, thank you for your support! If you’re not a member, please consider adding a tax-deductible membership to your registration to take advantage of special member pricing for Homecoming and ECTC and ECC Reunion activities. Help us meet our goal of 10,000 members in 2010!
