Celebrate the Pirate football Season with cold drinks, warm food, and good music!Friday, October 19, 20075:00 - 8:00 p.m.6th Street Parking LotFeaturing The Embers The
Wachovia Freeboot Friday series was started by the Uptown Greenville
organization as a way to draw the sizable visiting East Carolina fan
base into the center of Greenville for a night. The idea was simple: By
presenting music, food, drinks, prizes and other offerings, it would
draw people into the downtown district and, once there, make staying in
the area for a night out an attractive choice.
That
proved to be a successful formula. But it does not seem that the
visiting fans make Wachovia Freeboot Friday a successful event so much
as city residents and those from the area who use the gathering as a
place to reconnect with friends and neighbors. On a warm early evening,
as the sun begins to set, there are few places better in Greenville to
be.
