Colleges and Universities
Join alumni from North Carolina Colleges and Universities at a traditional Carolina barbecue and social at Gibbs Farm Museum. (Our barbecue will be shipped directly from North Carolina!) We’ll have a great time sharing college memories and traditions with friends from the Old North State. Bring your family and help Gibbs Farm Museum prepare for tourist season before the barbecue as part of East Carolina Alumni Association’s service month.

April is service month for the East Carolina Alumni Association. Join us from 9:00 a.m. to noon as we spruce up Gibbs Farm Museum by gardening, weed pulling, light cleaning, and maintenance. We’ll even make historical decorations from corncobs! Gibbs Farm is owned and operated by the Ramsey County Historical Society and is one of the last remaining rural farmsteads in the county. It is a quiet and peaceful place surrounded by urban activity. You will see live farm animals, an apple orchard, Native American herb gardens and cultural displays, an old school house, and the original home and furnishings of the late 1800’s/early 1900’s.
Barbecue social tickets are $28 per person, $18 for children 12 and under. Please register by Saturday, April 19 by mailing your payment to:
