The East Carolina Alumni Association will celebrate its 3rd annual Service Month by teaming up with the ECU Ambassadors to fight Cancer during the University’s 3rd annual Relay For Life® April 9-10, 2010. Alumni are encouraged to walk from 6:30-8:00 p.m., but our Ambassador team will be there all night, so feel free to participate whenever you would like. Your support, as a participant and/or donor will help the ECU Ambassador team reach its goal of $2,500 and the University’s overall goal of $100,000. Please bring a baked good/food item to sell at the event as another way to raise funds for the American Cancer Society.

Help raise money and awareness to support the American Cancer Society in its mission to eliminate cancer and save lives. Relay For Life® is the American Cancer Society’s nationwide signature fundraiser and honors those we have lost to cancer, celebrates survivors, and fights back against the disease. How does it work? Participation on the ECU Ambassador team is $10.00 (T-shirt included). Team members collect contributions from family, friends, neighbors, colleagues, etc. to raise funds for the American Cancer Society. On Relay day, team members take turns walking the track while enjoying activities, entertainment, camaraderie, and food – it’s like an ECU community campout! Please register to participate, donate, or purchase a luminary by visiting the ECU Ambassador’s Relay For Life® team Web page. If you are unable to walk but would like to make a difference in cancer research, donations to our team are much appreciated.
